Swift sunrise lighting up the malignant skies
Blinding streaks rush through my eyes
Side by side, I see architect and his design
Dying in a desperate clutch
Have our minds tricked us into feeling proud (proud as a God)
When everything is lost and no one is obliged (we stand aside)
Ruins and dust is everything we left behind (watching the world)
Running away from our imminent decline (slowly subside)
Standing here I sense the urge to straighten things out
Seeing truth in different light
Where to start, is there anything one can devise (so helpless I feel)
Or should we just sit down and face our own demise? (not a clue or a sign)
By leaving Earth, humanity has lost its right (the pain is real)
To savor the dreams of innocence and light (but the hope still resides, the time draws nigh...)
